Nintendo announced Monday that Monolith Soft’s Wii U RPG Xenoblade Chronicles X will be getting a remastered Switch port.
Releasing March 20, Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition adds “brand new story elements” to the 2015 action RPG. Until now, Xenoblade Chronicles X was the only Xenoblade game absent from the Nintendo Switch.
In May of 2020, Nintendo released Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition, a remaster of the original Wii game. Xenoblade Chronicles had previously been ported to the 3DS, albeit with very few visual upgrades.
The game went up for pre-order on Nintendo’s website, selling for a full $59.99. Pre-orders are expected to become available by the end of the day for other retailers.
