After scouring Twitter and Reddit like degenerates, we have compiled a list of leaks of varying veracity relating to Nintendo’s next console.
Note: None of these rumors have been investigated or confirmed by Game Wrecks and should not be treated as factual.
Nintendo has already filmed the announcement trailer for their next console.
According to gaming journalist Paul Gale, a “trailer-like commercial was filmed to promote a certain next generation console.”
Gale did not specify what company filmed the trailer, but given that Sony just had a presentation on a new console and Phil Spencer has been apprehensive towards creating a pro version of the Xbox Series X|S, the subject of the tweet is likely Nintendo.
According to Gale, we could get our first look at the new console in “one-six weeks.”
The Nintendo Switch 2 will be a dual screen experience
While this rumor has no single source, it has gained traction in the last few months, with Chris Dring discussing further on his podcast.
Dring said he was unsure whether dual screen meant a split experience between a game pad and a television like the Wii U, or if there would be two screens on the system itself like the 3DS.
Dring mentioned Famiboards as an origin of the rumor, though the claim has been prominent on Twitter and other forums as well.

The Nintendo Switch 2 will be revealed on Sept 18
We at Game Wrecks would not be doing our journalistic duty if we did not disclose that this rumor is unlikely to hold any water.
An anonymous 4chan user claimed that the new system, officially titled the Nintendo Switch Version 2, would be bigger than the OLED and have colored Joy-Con buttons.
The user also listed some new games coming to the new Switch, including an open world Mario game and a new Mario Kart.

As many users have already pointed out, the Nintendo Switch Version 2 already exists, being the name of the updated version of the standard Switch with some hardware patches.
Nintendo will do “something” regarding the Nintendo Switch 2
Again coming courtesy Chris Dring, there are reportedly “industry whispers” that the Nintendo Switch 2 will make some sort of public entrance in the month of September.
It is unclear where Dring heard these rumors or how confident he is in them, but he did confirm beyond a doubt that he does enjoy the original Nintendo Switch.
