After talks with Microsoft, Capcom announced Tuesday that both Marvel vs. Capcom Arcade Collection: Fighting Classics and Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection 2 will receive versions on the Xbox One.
Due to the technical limitations of the Xbox One, both titles had been slated to release only for the Xbox Series X | S, as well as both the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. However, rumors had been circulating that Capcom wanted to take advantage of the Xbox One’s still-significant install base and release a last-gen version.
Windows Central’s Jez Corden was the first to break the news that Capcom was moving forward with the Xbox One versions of the collections, and that both games were slated for a 2025 release.
